Bushwalk – June 11 2017

10 people, that is 3 members and 7 visitors joined on a very wet day (at least it was at home!) at Matthew Flinders Park, Steve Irwin Way, Glasshouse Mountains. After formalities, the walk started soon after 9.00 am and headed off towards the Trachyte Circuit. After 2 km the Trachyte Circuit was met and followed toward Mt Tibrogargan Day Use Area.

A quick shower of rain ceased just before the walk and then it fined up! (I know the weather in this area!)

Upon gaining the junction with the Tibrogargan Circuit, the decision was made to follow this circuit around the base of Mount Tibrogargan and back to the Trachyte Circuit.

Upon gaining the Trachyte Circuit, it was decided to follow it to Caves Road and then follow the route back to Matthew Flinders Park.

The track was damp but not boggy and the distance walked was just on 7 km.

A great morning had by all, and thanks to Kelly Prosser for the morning tea, and there seems to be new members on the horizon!
